Always fit the cover to a clean, cool vehicle.

Remove the cover from the storage bag and spread it over the car, with the soft fleece lining facing the bodywork. Use the labels sewn into the inside of the cover to identify the front.

Centre the cover – use the seams along the roof as a guide to make sure it is evenly positioned from side to side.

Fit the mirror pockets,if included in the pattern. On vehicles with a prominent rear spoiler,as commonly found on Porsche models, bespoke patterns often include a dedicated spoiler pocket. If so, fit the spoiler pocket first, followed by the mirror pockets.

Secure the cover – take hold of the elasticated hem at the front and tuck it under the front bumper. Repeat at the rear.

Smooth out any excess fabric – gently lift the cover at the lower edge and pull it down beneath the bumpers, ideally at the corners of the car. On vehicles with a fabric roof, the cover may grip the roof material and prevent it from sitting correctly. Gently lift the cover around the roof and redistribute the fabric as needed. When you lower the cover again, the tension will even out and the cover will settle naturally into place.

In strong winds, use the securing strap (outdoor covers only) – pass it underneath the vehicle from one side to the other, fasten the buckles and tighten securely.

Follow the fitting steps in reverse order.

Release the cover from beneath the rear bumper first, followed by the front bumper. Remove the pockets from the door mirrors and, where applicable, from the rear spoiler.

Fold the cover into a long strip running over the bonnet, roof and boot. Fold the left-hand side in towards the centre of the car, with the inside facing upwards, then repeat on the right. Continue folding both sides towards the centre until the strip is approximately the same width as the storage bag.

Fold up the cover – stand at the front of the car and gradually fold the strip back on itself, working from the bonnet towards the rear. This ensures that only the soft fleece lining comes into contact with the bodywork. CAUTION: On older vehicles, the fabric may catch on sharp edges of the windshield wipers or washer nozzles.

Place the cover in the storage bag.

When fitting the cover again, unfold it from the rear of the car towards the front.
